Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 3rd September 2026
1. About these terms
brid9e is operated by Vikram Setia. In these Terms & Conditions, “brid9e”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Vikram Setia trading as brid9e.
These terms apply when you book or take part in a session, workshop, class or other experience provided by brid9e, or otherwise purchase a service directly from us.
For retreats, organisations, studios, private groups and other bespoke work, we may agree separate terms in a proposal, booking agreement or other written agreement. Where those terms differ from these Terms & Conditions, the separately agreed terms will take precedence for that work.
By making a booking, you agree to these terms.
2. The nature of our work
brid9e offers practices for personal exploration, awareness and wellbeing. These may include meditation, Family Constellations, Inner Inquiry, somatic and energy work, practices inspired by the Book of Secrets, Ayurveda-related experiences and other complementary approaches.
You do not need to choose a particular practice before beginning. We may discuss what is present for you and decide together what approach might be useful.
You are always free to ask questions, decline a particular practice or stop an exercise or session.
Our services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care or emergency mental health support. If you have concerns about your physical or mental health, you should seek appropriate advice from a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
3. Your wellbeing and participation
Some of the work offered through brid9e can involve personal experiences, relationships, memories, emotions or physical sensations. At times, this may feel challenging or bring up unexpected feelings.
You are responsible for deciding whether participation feels appropriate for you and for telling us about anything you believe may be relevant to your ability to participate safely.
We may suggest that a particular practice is not appropriate, pause a session, or recommend that you seek support from another suitably qualified professional where we reasonably believe this would be in your interests.
No particular result or outcome can be guaranteed. Everyone’s experience of this work is different.
4. Booking and payment
Prices and session lengths are shown when you book or will be agreed with you in advance.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is required as part of the booking process. A booking is confirmed once the booking process has been completed and any required payment has been received.
For bespoke work, retreats, organisations, studios and private experiences, payment arrangements may instead be set out in a separate proposal or agreement.
5. Cancellation and rescheduling
For standard sessions booked directly with brid9e:
- If you cancel 48 hours or more before the scheduled start time, you may receive a full refund or reschedule without charge.
- If you cancel between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled start time, 50% of the session fee will be refunded. Where agreed, this amount may instead be credited towards a rescheduled session.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the session fee is normally non-refundable.
Refunds are made to the original method of payment.
If brid9e needs to cancel a session, you will be offered either a new date or a full refund of the amount paid for that session.
Different cancellation arrangements may apply to retreats, group programmes, organisations, private experiences or other bespoke bookings. Any different arrangements will be made clear before you commit to the booking.
These cancellation arrangements do not affect any cancellation or refund rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Our separate Cancellation Policy provides further details.
6. Online bookings and statutory cancellation rights
If you are a consumer and enter into a contract with us online or otherwise at a distance, you may have a statutory right to cancel the contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
Where you ask us to provide a service during that cancellation period, your rights may be affected once the service has begun or been completed. Where applicable, we will deal with cancellations and refunds in accordance with your statutory rights.
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict rights you have under consumer law.
This distinction matters: UK guidance provides for a 14-day cancellation period for many distance service contracts and contains specific rules where the consumer asks for the service to start during that period.
7. Online sessions
For an online session, you are responsible for finding a place where you feel comfortable and, where possible, will not be interrupted.
You are also responsible for your own internet connection and equipment.
If a significant technical problem prevents a session from taking place, we will use reasonable efforts to find a practical solution, which may include reconnecting, continuing by another agreed method or rescheduling where appropriate.
8. In-person sessions
In-person sessions may take place at different agreed venues. The location will be confirmed as part of the booking arrangements.
Please arrive at the agreed time. If you arrive late, it may not always be possible to extend the session beyond its scheduled finish time.
9. Groups, workshops and retreats
Group work depends on an atmosphere of respect and consideration.
We ask participants to respect the privacy of others and not share another participant’s personal story or experience outside the group without their permission.
While brid9e will encourage and support confidentiality within groups, we cannot guarantee the actions of other participants.
We may ask someone to leave or stop participating where their behaviour is seriously disruptive, unsafe or significantly affects the experience of others.
10. Ayurveda and food-related experiences
Ayurveda-related sessions, cooking experiences, recipes and other food or lifestyle information offered through brid9e are intended for general educational and wellbeing purposes.
They are not intended as medical diagnosis, medical treatment or individual clinical nutrition advice.
Where food is involved, please tell us in advance about allergies or dietary requirements that may be relevant. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed requirements where possible, but the arrangements for a particular event or venue may vary.
11. Confidentiality
We treat information shared during individual sessions with care and confidentiality.
There may be limited circumstances in which confidentiality cannot reasonably or lawfully be maintained, including where disclosure is required by law or where a serious safeguarding concern arises.
Group sessions involve other participants and, as explained above, brid9e cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality outside the group.
How we collect, store and use personal information is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.
12. Photography and recording
Please do not make audio or video recordings of private sessions or group work without prior agreement.
We will not assume that participation in a session, workshop or event gives us permission to use your photograph, video, story or testimonial for marketing purposes.
Where we wish to photograph or record an event or use identifiable material publicly, appropriate permission will be sought separately.
13. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, materials provided by brid9e, including written materials, exercises, programme materials, recordings, photographs, website content and original teaching materials, belong to brid9e or are used with appropriate permission.
Materials provided for your personal use may be used by you for that purpose, but they should not be reproduced, sold, published, taught commercially or distributed as your own material without prior permission.
Nothing in these terms claims ownership over traditional teachings, established practices or material belonging to third parties.
14. Our responsibility to you
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
We do not guarantee that a particular practice or session will produce a particular personal, emotional, relational, professional or wellbeing outcome.
We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable as a result of our breach.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, or removes any statutory rights available to you as a consumer.
I’ve deliberately kept this section moderate. Current CMA guidance warns businesses against broad disclaimers, attempts to exclude responsibility for poor service, and clauses excluding liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Consumer terms also need to be fair and transparent.
15. Changes to arrangements
Occasionally, we may need to make reasonable changes to a session, venue, facilitator, timing or other arrangements because of circumstances outside our control or practical requirements.
Where a significant change affects a booking you have already made, we will tell you as soon as reasonably possible and, where appropriate, offer an alternative or refund.
For future bookings, services and prices may change from time to time.
16. Privacy
We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our website also uses cookies and similar technologies. Where required, you can choose whether to accept non-essential cookies through the cookie controls provided on the website.
17. Concerns and complaints
If something about your experience with brid9e does not feel right, we would prefer to hear from you so that we have an opportunity to understand and respond.
You can contact Vikram at vikram@brid9e.com.
Nothing in this section affects any legal rights or remedies available to you.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you will continue to benefit from any mandatory protections provided by the law that applies to you, and nothing in these terms is intended to restrict rights regarding where you may bring legal proceedings where the law provides otherwise.
