WHEN SOMETHING KEEPS RETURNING

You keep finding yourself in the same place.

Even when the story looks different.

It may be relationships, work, family, the way you respond when things become difficult, or a feeling that seems to keep returning.

You understand some of it. You may even know where it comes from. But knowing the pattern and being free of it are not always the same thing.

RECOGNITION

Maybe you recognise this.

The same kind of relationship.
The same reaction.
The same conflict.
The same feeling.
The same ending.

You tell yourself that this time will be different.
Sometimes it is for a while.

Then something happens and you notice yourself

responding in a way that feels strangely familiar.

THE QUESTION CHANGES
Why do I keep doing this?

What am I protecting?

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

The pattern may not be the problem.

It may have once made perfect sense.
HOW WE MIGHT WORK

We become curious about what keeps returning.

We do not begin by trying to get rid of the pattern. We slow it down and notice what happens; what you feel, what your body does, what you believe in that moment, and what may sit underneath it.

From there, different practices may enter the work naturally.

A PERSONAL NOTE

Understanding myself did not always change what I did.

For many years, I could understand certain patterns in myself very well. I could explain where they came from and why they were there.

And still, in certain moments, I would find myself responding in the same familiar ways.

What became more interesting was not asking how to stop the pattern, but becoming curious about what happened inside me just before it appeared.

That curiosity changed something. It is also how I approach this work now. We do not begin by deciding what needs to change. We begin by noticing what is already happening.

YOU CAN BEGIN HERE.

Curious? That’s enough to begin.

You can come with a question, a feeling, a pattern you keep meeting or simply with the sense that something needs attention.
